Dental plaque is caused by inadequate brushing of the teeth and harbours many bacteria. Germs that are involved in the development of tooth decay and periodontitis also thrive in dental plaque. Not only adults but also children in particular learn how to brush their teeth properly every day and can therefore better recognise their own brushing success.

Application: Place the tablet in the mouth (children take half a tablet), bite and mix with saliva. As soon as the tablet is completely dissolved, the colour on the teeth indicates whether there is dental plaque and, if so, how old it is: Older dental plaque will be coloured blue or newer ones pink. The colour can be easily removed by brushing your teeth afterwards.
